President Obama’s visit to MIT.

I haven’t posted in several weeks so here is a quick snippet to prove to you I’m still alive and capable of running a blog. Expect more posts soon!

President Obama came to MIT today. He toured some “clean energy labs” and addressed the MIT community. He started his address by thanking people and then said “I feel honored to finally be at the most prestigious university in Cambridge MA.”  Everybody laughed, and perhaps trying to redeem himself in the eyes of his alma-mater he added “well at least the most prestigious university in this part of Cambridge”.

I was extremely impressed by how great of a speaker he was. It was obvious that he didn’t use a teleprompter and was really speaking what he thought and felt rather then a prepared speech. He cracked a few jokes which went over very well with the crowd. At one time he said “I’ll be here a while.  I understand a bunch of engineering students have put my motorcade on top of Building Ten.” ( An obvious reference to when a group of MIT students placed a police car on top of the iconic MIT dome).

He drove right by the building where I work everyday and I was able to grab a few pictures and a video.

The start of the motorcadeThe motorcycles showed let us know he was coming.

That is an awesome prank. I want to get better at pranking. Or prank at all, since I don’t. Seriously, let’s think of stuff we can do without wasting tons of time, money, and/or our jobs. There’s gotta be something…
